@chewinghum creates audiovisual material under the influence of momentaryunthinkablesurrealunsustainableunrepeatablecrazystupidbeautifulromanticplationicsexualuntoldembarrassingintenselonglastinginappropriatefleetingtaintedrandomshockingirresistibleordinaryfuckedupspokenfleetingsecretspontaneous and pure feelings and experiences of attraction, desire, love and life. In their creative process, they use diary notes, field recorded samples, everyday and nostalgic objects, transforming them into poetic fragments of online content - felt cute might delete later. In the environment of Instagram, intimate experiences become nothing more than instant material – use by... @chewinghum works mostly with the medium of text, music or video, creating its own visual language and experimenting with words and sounds.
The first retrospective of their work was documented in the video It goes like| which also consists of a continuously growing body of texts and poems, or Love letters, mostly published online. They have also released their debut EP Last text, which focuses on the multiple dimensions of recieving and coping with final words and endings. Listen to the album here
